A general introduction into key terms used such as Sustainability, Carbon and Net Zero. Also we will explore others like climate, weather, global warming, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the climate emergency to name a few.

The road to net zero is the challenge of reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050 in order for the UK to meet its Net Zero target by 2050.

This intermediate level course can help your organisation to make a clear and consistent path towards achieving net zero and covers aspects that all organisations should be looking at to make holistic changes within their business.

For an organisation to have a target related to net zero or reducing emissions might seem like it is enough. In most cases, it is just the start.

This advanced course moves beyond the basics and focuses on specific areas that businesses can improve upon in order to establish and develop their strategies and drive change towards achieving net zero.

It will cover a variety of advanced topics, from how to measure sustainability and how it is being offset to how to create a climate strategy and dedicated action plan for your organisation.

The Government’s Net Zero Strategy: Build Back Greener sets out policies and proposals for decarbonising all sectors of the UK economy to meet its Net Zero target by 2050.

The strategy has been cascaded down through the public sectors, including the NHS and County Councils, to address the issue of climate change and the reduction of carbon outputs internally and through their supply chain.
