Introduction to Sustainability, Carbon and Net Zero

A general introduction into key terms used such as Sustainability, Carbon and Net Zero. Also we will explore others like climate, weather, global warming, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the climate emergency to name a few.

In this course we will cover an introduction into sustainability, the idea that we can meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

We go over terms like carbon, net zero, climate, weather, global warming and the UN Sustainable Development Goals to name a few.

The course includes Colchester Institutes very own bespoke Carbon Literacy sessions for the Essex area. Over 83,000 people worldwide have been certified as Carbon Literate pledging over 166,000 actions to help reduce carbon on both an individual and group level to help be part of the solution and make a huge impact.

Upon completion not only will you receive a Carbon Literacy certificate you will also receive a City and Guilds certificate.
